On June 18, 2010, by a 6-3 vote, the Texas Supreme Court holds "In the Matter of B.W." that the statute defining the crime of prostitution cannot be applied to juveniles under 14 years of age.  The case arose when a 13-year-old girl living with her 32-year-old boyfriend was arrested for offering to perform a sexual act on a undercover police officer.
